"Light raspberry and cranberry aromas are wrapped in caramel and herbs on the nose of this bottling. Oregano and marjoram flavors kick off a complex palate, where dried purple-flower, roasted plum and zesty lemon-peel flavors also pop."

About Benziger

Patrick Piuze stands out in Chablis for more than just his wines. A Canadian native, Patrick arrived in Burgundy in 2000 to work a one month harvest internship with Olivier Leflaive. Recognizing Patrick's talent, Olivier quickly offered him the chance to head up the winery he was constructing in Chablis, an amazing opportunity of a lifetime. Patrick then spent four years making Chablis for Leflaive, moving on to Verget after and then Jean-Marc Brocard before starting his eponymous negociant in 2008.

From the beginning, Patrick has strived to showcase the terroir of Chablis, specifically the original ~1,000 hectares in the heart of the region. Working with growers who respect the land and avoid the use of chemicals in the vineyard, Patrick has a network of old vine Chardonnay vineyards from which he sources fruit.

While most Chablis producers make only a single village level wine, Patrick makes 8+ in a typical vintage, allowing each unique location an opportunity to shine. In addition to the extensive portfolio of AOC Chablis, Patrick also works with six Premier Cru sites and six of the seven Grand Crus.
